Backup Your Outlook Email First, you must locate your Outlook Express Store Folder. To do so, start Outlook Express and then from the menu bar select Tools > Options. Go to the Maintenance tab. Click on the Store Folder... button. Select the text and copy it using Ctrl+C. Close the Outlook Express. Select Start > Run. Press Ctrl-V to paste the folder location in the Open box. Click OK. Select Edit > Select All from the menu in this folder. Make sure all files (including Folders.dbx in particular) are highlighted. Select Edit > Copy from the menu to copy the files. Open the folder where you want to keep the backup copies (on another hard disk, an USB drive or a network drive, for example) in Windows Explorer. Select Edit > Paste from the menu to paste the files to your backup folder.
