Create a boot USB flash drive

 

To make a USB flash drive bootable on a system, you must have:

  • A computer with a BIOS that allows for booting from a USB flash drive. To check about it, press Del while your computer booting. Go to the Advanced CMOS setup section, browse the 1st boost device option and then check whether USB flash drive exists.

  • USB flash drive must support booting in general. Please refer to its manual.

  • USB flash drive must contain boot/system files. To do so you must open Windows Explorer, right click your USB flash drive and select format. Use format with system files.
