DirectX Diagnosis - Windows XP hidden applications
In order for DirectX games to run on your system, the DirectX drivers need to be properly installed and certified. For DirectX a program called dxdiag.exe is used this is the utility that can check drivers certification and let you know if all DirectX components are properly certified. Your computer may need an updated DirectX driver for your video card to run the game. In most instances if a video driver is not working properly, it is best to seek the advice of the manufacturer of the computer or of the manufacturer of the video card itself. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool is designed to help you troubleshoot DirectX-related issues.
To run the dxdiag.exe do the following: Click the Start button > Run > and type dxdiag.
