Private Character Editor - Windows XP hidden applications
Private Character Editor allows you to create your own custom logo or symbol on a text font. To start this utility, Click Start > Run > and type Eudcedit. The Editor will appear, and it will suggest a spot on a grid. Accept the suggestion, and then draw the character. Save your work.
Find Character Map in Start, All Programs, Accessories or by clicking Start > Run > Charmap. Very close to the top of the list will be a font called All Fonts (Private Characters). Select and Copy your new character, and then Paste it into a document. You can make your own characters to add to spaces reserved for them in a Unicode font.
The editing grid is easy enough to use, with ellipse and angled line drawing tools as well as the more predictable rectangles and dot-by-dot fills. There’s also an eraser. You can start from scratch, but you can also load in an existing character from any font installed on your PC and modify that.
